Acting workshop for Children Aged 10-17

A summer workshop for youth to study, explore, and perform an abridged production of Shakespeare’s classic tragedy, Macbeth. All workshops sessions and performances will be at the MET Black Box space at 933 E. Main Street in Mesa.

Workshop teacher/director: Suze St. John

Suze has been a high school drama teacher for 25 years, specializing in Classical works and Musical Theatre. She holds a BFA from the University of Arizona, and earned her Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from ASU West. She currently serves as Treasurer of the Board at MET, but is transitioning to the position of Managing Director. She has directed MET productions of Deathtrap, Footloose, and Forbidden Broadway, and last summer’s Shakespeare workshop production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. . She has appeared on the MET stage in Mary Poppins (Mrs. Brill and the Bird Woman) and Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike (Masha). She has also performed with Southwest Shakespeare Company and Flagstaff Shakespeare Festival, where she is currently playing Leonata in Much Ado About Nothing (May 31-June 16)
