1. Applicants must be in their senior year with an expectation of timely graduation and plan to enroll in an accredited post secondary institution and continued class work in theatre arts. 2. Applicants must attend school within the Mesa School District service area. 3. Applicants are responsible for obtaining applications from such sources as guidance department or drama instructor of the school in which the applicant is enrolled. 4. Two letters of character reference shall accompany a completed application. 5. A face to face interview with members of the Mesa Encore Theatre Scholarship Committee will be scheduled with the finalists at the convenience of the Committee. 6. Final decisions for an award of scholarship/grant shall be made based on the following: participation in theatre arts and other outside theatrical groups, academic standing exhibited in the GPA both cumulative and for the school year quarters preceding the interview, and lastly, financial need. 7. Grants will be awarded to the selected recipient upon provision of proof of acceptance and enrollment in post secondary classes.
Note: for home schooled students, you must be in the Mesa School District service area, have some drama experience and have plans to enroll in an accredited post secondary institution and continued class work in theatre arts. | ||
